Essure Migration Can Destroy a Woman's Uterus

Women who are using the Essure birth control device should know that excruciating pain is never normal and may be a signal that the device has broken free of the Fallopian tube and is now piercing their uterus

Wednesday, November 7, 2018 - When Essure breaks free and travels into the uterus, there are many immediate adverse side effects to watch for that tell a woman that something has gone terribly wrong. The first is the immediate and excruciating pain. Essure is a sharp, metal coin that will lacerate the delicate tissues of any part of a woman's reproductive system that it comes into contact with. Essure migration causes terrible cramping pain as the uterus contracts to try and expel the foreign object. The more the uterus contracts the deeper Essure's sharp metal edges dig into the tissue.

Essure women are reporting that they have been experiencing the symptoms of Essure migration for over a decade and were kept in the dark as to what could be the cause. When a woman goes to the to see their gynecologist, the same one that implanted the Essure device, to begin with, they are usually told that the pain is "all in their head," and that Essure could not be the cause. These are the same Essure gynecologists that are on the Bayer payroll and have been bribed with legal but unethical payments for items like "education" and "teaching" other doctors and technicians about Essure. It was not until many women saw the Netflix documentary entitle "The Bleeding Edge" that they put two and two together, and made the connection between Essure and their medical conditions. Thousands of these women are now suing Bayer, maker of Essure, for bringing a faulty medical device to market, as well as their gynecologist for failing to diagnose Essure's adverse side effects.

The Essure Birth Control Device (Essure) is a one-inch metal coil that resembles the spring from a retractable ball-point pen. Two separate Essure devices are inserted through the vagina, into a woman's Fallopian tubes, one into each where it is designed to cause irritation. This irritation produced scar tissue where it is hoped to trap the device in place and block fertilization. It takes approximately three months for sufficient Essure scar tissue to develop, during which time patients are advised to refrain from having sex. Unfortunately, Essure seldom works as advertised and "stays put" in a woman's Fallopian tube. The device can break free from the initial point of the implant and is free to travel within a woman's reproductive system. Often Essure winds up in a woman's uterus where the sharp edges can cause excruciating pain. When Essure enters the Uterus it will stretch the uterus from the inside on both sides. The natural response of the uterus is to expel this toxic foreign invader by contracting to cause terrible cramping pain as well as causing the device to become further entrapped in the organ. Fortunately, the pain is so great that the patient is forced to see a doctor immediately and have the device removed by hysterectomy before it can actually fully puncture the uterus. As a side note, avoiding hysterectomy or other invasive forms of birth control is one of the reasons patients chose Essure to begin with. Essure attorneys provide information in regards to Essure birth control problems.
