Essure Women May Elect Preventative Surgery To Remove It Before Extensive Organ Damage Occurs

Women are being told by their gynecologist that Essure could not possibly be the cause of their pain and suffering and that they must be crazy to even think so

Tuesday, July 9, 2019 - When a woman goes to a gynecologist and requests removal of her Essure birth control device she usually is in a great deal of pain. Essure women suffer from constant bleeding and sharp, stabbing pain which may indicate that there could be surgical complications. If a woman waits until she is in severe pain to attempt to remove Essure, it may be too late. Essure has been shown to calcify and the once soft, flexible, gentle coil has been described as feeling "like a rusty nail" in a woman's reproductive organs. Other times Essure may have broken into pieces and each piece must be located and removed requiring multiple surgeries. Other times inexperienced Essure removal doctors may stretch and rip the device into pieces when trying to pry it out of the Fallopian tubes. If a woman complains of sharp, stabbing pain it may be an indication that the device has perforated the Fallopian tubes and could be located somewhere in the abdomen. The most frequent complication is that Essure travels into the uterus where contractions to expel the device only sink it deeper and more painfully into the uterine tissues. The longer one waits after experiencing Essure pain, the greater the chances that Essure removal will be complicated and performing a radical hysterectomy and exploratory abdominal surgery to find it may be required. Essure women and the family members of women who suffered from pain, internal injuries, or other complications as a result of Essure, you may qualify to file an Essure lawsuit to recover compensation for damages you have suffered.

As cynical as this may sound, Essure doctors may be to blame for postponing necessary Essure removal surgery. Time and time and time again, women report that their Essure doctor, the one who originally implanted Essure into their Fallopian tubes, tells them that there is no way Essure could be the cause of their pain, that the pain is all in their heads, or that the woman may be crazy, without so much as examining her to ensure that Essure is where it belongs. Giving such advice could be considered medical malpractice and merely a cover for a doctor that is unwilling to admit that they have received under the table payments from Bayer sales reps to promote, sell, and defend the Essure device against all Essure detractors. Some doctors receive hundreds of thousands of dollars in bogus "speaking and educational seminar fees" from Bayer which in reality are the equivalent to a back door sales commission. In any event, Essure women are sent home and their pain continues and to this day are no closer to having a surgical solution than when they started. There have been around 20000 formal complaints registered with the US Food and Drug Administration regarding Essure malfunctions and an additional 40,000-plus women have joined the exclusive Essure Problems Facebook group to share their Essure horror stories. Because so many women trust their doctor when they are told that Essure is not the problem there may be many times more than the 40000 women suffering from Essure side effects.
